Appointments
Regular appointments are available between 8:30am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Emergency appointments are available every day. Initial consultations usually require one to three
hours, while follow-up appointments usually require thirty to sixty minutes. Extra time may be
required for additional tests and therapy, such as fluorescein angiography (dye study), cryotherapy,
or laser treatment.
Dilating drops are used for the examination and will blur your vision for several hours and make your
eyes light sensitive. Plan to have someone drive you home, and bring sunglasses if you have them. (If not,
temporary sunglasses will be provided by the office.)
We try to stay on schedule, but due to the nature of a retina practice, emergencies do arise.
We will attempt to let you know if there is going to be a prolonged delay. Occasionally, patients will
be seen "out of turn" if they are urgent or quick postoperative visits. We know that you would appreciate
the same courtesy and thank you in advance for your patience if you have to wait. We appreciate the
fact that your time is valuable and ask that you speak to the receptionist if you have any time
concerns or constraints.
