Low Vision Referral
If a patient has decreased vision that is not correctable by standard glasses or is legally blind, he or she may benefit from Low Vision services. In such cases, we will be happy to refer you to a Low Vision specialist for evaluation and therapy, as well as community support services such as the Lighthouse for the Blind and the State Division of Blind Services. A wide variety of visual and social rehabilitative services, as well as benefits, are available to you through these agencies.

In addition, The Retina Institute of Florida has information relating to items such as talking and large print books. As Dr. Rosecan was the only medical member of the Board of Directors of the Lighthouse for the Blind for more than a decade, Dr. Rosecan is particularly sensitive to the fact that the needs of visually impaired individuals do not end at the office door.
